If you are a municipal official or commercial facility owner who wants to provide bathing beach facilities to the public, you must contact the Clinton County Health Department prior to building, repairing or renovating your bathing facility(s).
Tummy time allows babies to develop head control and upper body strength needed to crawl and do other important developmental activities. It is important to place your newborn on the tummy several times a day. As your baby grows and gets stronger, increase tummy time.

When you attend an event (e.g. Mayor’s Cup, a concert, etc.) that has 5,000 or more persons, the Clinton County Health Department is responsible to ensure that emergency services will meet certain standards provided for by Part 18 of the New York State Sanitary Code.
There are two common types of ticks in NYS, the dog tick and the deer tick. Ticks are found most often in shady, moist areas. They cling to tall grass, brush and shrubs, usually no more than a few feet off the ground. They also live in lawns and gardens, especially at the edges of woods and around old stone walls. Once the temperature reaches 40⁰F, ticks will begin to come out from their winter hiding spots—even if there is still snow on the ground

If you are a provider of water to the public, you will be responsible to follow federal, state, and local regulations, and their procedures to insure the water you supply is safe.
The Clinton County Health Department is responsible for enforcing the Safe Drinking Water Act and the New York State Sanitary Code regulations regarding public water systems.

Though most mosquitoes do not transmit diseases, several mosquito species have been linked to carrying West Nile virus, an infection that can cause serious illness. There are about 70 different species of mosquitoes in New York State, but only certain species have been associated with West Nile virus.
Vaccinations are the single most effective way to prevent serious and life threatening diseases. Choosing to immunize protects not only yourself, but also your family, friends, and the community.
Today, in the United States there are few visible reminders of the suffering, injuries, and deaths caused by these diseases over the last century. Unfortunately, thousands of deaths are still attributed to vaccine preventable diseases worldwide each year and remain a threat to people’s health.
