In March each year the Clinton County Youth Bureau hosts it’s Annual Youth Leadership Conference. The conference, held at Clinton Community College, is planned and organized by a group of high school students from around the county.
This one-day conference is free and open to all 9 area high schools. Each High School is able to select 15 students in grades 10 – 12 to attend. The conference includes a professional speaker to provide the keynote address as well as a variety of workshop sessions. Each year the Youth Planning Committee selects workshop topics they feel will be of interest to their peers. Workshop topics have included: applying to college, interviewing skills, career exploration, money management, public speaking, teambuilding, leadership personal & internet safety, stress management, healthy eating, citizenship and more.
Registration to attend must be done through your local high school. Any student interested in attending should contact their guidance office for registration information.
This Years Youth Conference Information: After careful consideration The Clinton County Youth Bureau has decided to cancel the 16th annual Leadership Conference scheduled for next week. We appreciate the hard work of our youth planning committee and presenters, however the safety of all must be a priority. We appreciate your willingness to give your time to educating our young leaders, and hope you will join us for future conferences. Thank you for your understanding.
