Andrew J. Wylie, District Attorney
On December 30, 2005, Andrew J. Wylie was sworn in as the 35th District Attorney for Clinton County. Prior to being elected, D.A. Wylie was a criminal defense attorney in the County for 17 years, while in practice with his father, Robert P. Wylie.
Since taking office on January 1, 2006, District Attorney Wylie has successfully prosecuted several homicide and drug cases during his first term. D.A. Wylie has been able to enhance the District Attorney’s office by working with the Clinton County Legislator Office to obtain approval for having two part-time Assistant District Attorney’s replaced by two full time A.D.A.s. The office has furthered its relationship with the Domestic Violence Task Force and the Adirondack Drug Task Force.
D.A. Wylie has assigned his five Assistant District Attorneys to specific assignments for the prosecution of children sex abuse cases, domestic violence cases, drug cases, prison cases and D.W.I. cases, as well as for Drug and Mental Health Courts.
